Albert Facelly's work on the Rwanda genocide was honored with the 1st prize News Pictures of the Year from the University of Washington, the 1st prize Jean Louis Calderon at the Scoop d'Angers, and the World Press 2nd prize Spot News Story.
Freelance since 2012, he joined the association of independent photographers Divergence and works with French and foreign newspapers.
